Lucas the Spider "Keep On Creepin' On" 30cm Midnight Black Plush 🕷️🖤🕸️
Disarm everyday arachnophobia with the internet’s favorite four-eyed arachnid, outfitted in midnight-black fleece and an adorable retro graphic tee.
Real-world spiders usually send people leaping onto chairs in sheer panic, but this velvety companion flips that fear into instant, huggable delight. The Lucas the Spider 30cm Midnight Black Plush transforms an often misunderstood critter into the ultimate cuddle buddy. Dressed in a customized black cotton-blend jersey tee screen-printed with "NO KEEP ON CREEPIN' ON" alongside an illustrated web motif, this eight-legged friend perches comfortably across your pillows or desk, staring up with giant glossy eyes that melt away tension after a stressful day.
In November 2017, Pixar and Disney animator Joshua Slice created Lucas the Spider as an independent animation test, modeling him specifically on the jumping spider family (Salticidae). Slice observed that jumping spiders possess enlarged, front-facing median eyes and compact fuzzy bodies that naturally mimic mammalian facial proportions. By voicing the character with his young nephew Lucas, Slice sparked a viral phenomenon praised by psychologists worldwide for organically alleviating arachnophobia—a comforting, sweet-natured spirit embodied in this plush's oversized cabochon eyes and rounded leg contours.
